Duckett's Grove (Irish: Garrán Duckett [1]) is a ruined 19th-century great house and former estate in County Carlow, Ireland. Belonging to the Duckett family, the house was formerly the focal point of a 12,000-acre (49 km 2 ) estate, [ 2 ] and dominated the local landscape of the area for more than two centuries.
Ballinkillin [1] or Ballinkillen (Irish: Baile an Chillín, meaning 'settlement of the cillín') [1] is a small village between Borris and Bagenalstown in County Carlow, Ireland. The village itself has 20 homes and about 74 people. It includes a national school, shop, hurling pitch (Mc Donnell Park) and two housing estates.
A new series of Bank of Ireland notes, in denominations of £5, £10 and £20, were issued in April 2008. All of the denominations feature an illustration of the Old Bushmills Distillery on the reverse side.
