The Goddess of Commerce is a 700-pound, 7-foot tall bronze sculpture installed in Tacoma, Washington. Created by Marilyn Mahoney, the statue is a replica of the 1885 [ 1 ] original artwork which "once represented Tacoma's economy" at the former Chamber of Commerce building.

Jacqueline Noel (June 28, 1886 – 1964) was librarian for the city of Tacoma, Washington. She was a leader in promoting the colonial history of the United States and helped to expand Washington State's public library system. Noel is also credited with coining the name for the popular candy, Almond Roca.
