T-Mobile Home Internet wasn't available there. The long story short on Verizon is that it's cheap, fast, overall pretty solid but once a day or so the connection to work VPN's would drop for a split second and then come back. Moved to a new place that had Comcast and T-Mobile 5G Home Internet available as choices, no Verizon.
Gaming works, but T-Mobile Home Internet suffers big time from buffer bloat, and gaming is affected. For example someone in the house will be playing a game such as Fortnite or Valorant and everything is working well until I do an internet speed test of one of my devices. The ping shoots up way high and causes stuttering in the game.
Using wireless, my upload speed test is up to 25 mpbs. But in actual use, the uploads to youtube I need to do take LONGER on T-Mobile than they do on the old DSL. Using an ethernet cable from the T-Mobile gateway helps a LOT, but still seems inconsistent with connections starting fast, then tapering down. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO HELP THIS?

If the price was $20 higher I would just stay with T-Mobile Home Internet. Speed test results using T-Mobile Home Internet (397Mbps down, 26.53Mbps up)

Likely a few days ago T-Mobile was under less load in your area than it is now.
However, my brief encounter with T-Mobile Home Internet unearthed serious problems with the wireless service, T-Mobile's inability to deal with capacity issues, and customer service representatives that would lie to customers to get them off the phone or kick the can down the road regarding connectivity woes.
Like for example, Verizon’s Home internet router limits speeds to 300mbps while speeds in the area from other devices reach 400-600mbps. Does the T-Mobile router cap speeds? The T-Mobile representative in the Live Chat would not give me a clear answer on this. Would anybody who uses T-Mobile internet with an Ethernet connection with a cell ...

Home Internet has the lowest priority on TMOs network. Also, they advertise an expected average speed of 100M, since T-Mobile Home Internet primary potential customers are those with limited or no other broadband options. That you're getting higher speeds is just icing on the cake.
