You don't really need to buy any truck in the beginning of the game, in my opinion it's better to save up money for trucks later, but some trucks that are good for beginners are the International Loadstar 1700, the Azov 64131, the Voron-AE 4380 and the Tayga 6436 which you can find early on in Taymyr. 2. Thinking of buying a truck - looking at either brand new (if you can talk me out of it - please do so) or a gently used truck (maybe 1-2 years old with a reasonable amount of miles). I've looked at consumer reports and looks like other than Toyota and Honda the better truck is the Ram 1500.
If ypu want bling-bling: Volvo, Scania, Renault T, DAF XF. If you want a large front window: MAN, Renault Magnum. If you want to drive on slippery roads: Renault, DAF 2021, Mercedes. Offroad (in Promods or with any "no-fences" mod in singleplayer): Mercedes, Scania R. Reply.
Irregular loads: Western Star 49x, followed very closely by the International 9900i. Regular loads: Freightliner Cascadia, followed closely by Volvo VNL and International LT. Mack Anthem, International Lonestar, Peterbilt 579 and Kenworth T680 only get used when I feel like, but are rarely my daily driver.

All the 5 brands are similarly reliable and capable these days, with slight differences I’ll describe. F150: The 2.7 is fuel efficient, the 3.5 is the best tow motor in the segment, and the 5.0 is reliable. Ram: The 5.7 Hemi is the definition of fine: average power, reliability, capability, capacity, mpg. The EcoDiesel has been plagued with ...
In ATS, as others have said or alluded to: money might seem a bit tight in the early stages but, once you own your own truck outright and start hiring some other drivers, money basically becomes meaningless as you will be flooded with it. As for truck choice, the more modern trucks are a lot more maneuverable for parking etc, but the older long ...
The Kenworth W900 in-game, and the Peterbilt 379 IRL. I would say the 389 because I’m a Peterbilt guy but I feel like the windshields are too small, and I like PACCAR trucks in general plus the long hood style, so I choose the W900 for now. I like the 379 IRL because of how it looks. 4.
The 09-14 f150s seem like good trucks if you find one that’s a 5.0 and no rust. 3. Rubicon8. • 2 yr. ago. For reliability: Toyota. Just look at used prices, they hold their value for a reason. Tacoma if you want a manual, Tundra (07-21) for a solid v8. 2. [deleted]
Some mines in the area would trade in trucks with 'low miles' but had spent most of the trucks life idling, and the engines were already worn out. If you can find a used truck that grandma used to pull her camper to the family reunion once a year, and maintained it well, you are better off than a flashy truck of unknown origins.
