Wetherby (/ ˈ w ɛ ð ə b i / WETH-ə-bee) [2] is a market town and civil parish in the City of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.It is close to West Yorkshire county's border with North Yorkshire, and lies approximately 12 miles (19 kilometres) from Leeds City Centre, 12 mi (19 km) from York and 8 mi (13 km) from Harrogate.

The estate lies close to junction 46 of the A1(M) and Wetherby service station. The First Leeds X98 bus service (Leeds City Square to Wetherby Deighton Bar) links the estate with Wetherby bus station, Linton, Collingham, Seacroft, Oakwood, Harehills and Leeds city centre. The estate is also linked to Knaresborough by Connexionsbuses service 780.
Micklethwaite (left) sits opposite Wetherby Town Centre (right) connected by Wetherby Bridge (centre). Micklethwaite had a public house, the Drover Inn which is now a private residence. With the advent of the railway, cattle were no longer driven over the bridge and the pub changed its name to the Spotted Ox.
Sicklinghall is a village and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England that is situated between the town of Wetherby (3 miles (5 km) to the east) and the village of Kirkby Overblow. In 2007 the population was recorded as 300, [ 2 ] increasing to 336 at the 2011 Census.
