Counties Map. All 33 counties are members of New Mexico Counties. Membership entitles all elected county officials and employees to the services provided by NMC as well as participation in our semi-annual conferences and specialty workshops.

NMC serves as a statewide voice for all 33 New Mexico counties. County Members have access to trainings, technical assistance, and extensive Loss Prevention services. NMC also provides Workers’ Compensation, Multi-Line, and Law Enforcement coverage for its member Counties.

The most populous county in New Mexico with more than 676,000 residents, Bernalillo County provides a wide range of public services to residents who live in the county seat of Albuquerque, the surrounding villages of Los Ranchos and Tijeras, and the 111,000 residents who live in the unincorporated areas of the county.
Conferences and Meetings. NMC hosts a variety of conferences providing educational and networking opportunities for our members. The Legislative Conference occurs the opening week of the legislative session in January in Santa Fe.
As a key service to local government and as a source of information for local, state, and federal elected officials and government agencies, NMC’s public policy efforts reflect positions that represent the interests of all New Mexico counties.
