Pac-Man 256 is an endless runner video game developed by Hipster Whale and 3 Sprockets and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.The game is part of the Pac-Man series and is inspired by the original Pac-Man game's infamous Level 256 glitch, as well as Hipster Whale's own game Crossy Road, which previously featured a Pac-Man mode.
It has the same name as Crossy Road developer's Pac-Man 256 but is a completely different game. It was renamed Pac-Level 256 on the packaging for the reprint of Pac-Man Connect & Play that celebrates the 35th anniversary of the original Pac-Man.
The 2018 film Relaxer uses Pac-Man as a strong plot element in the story of a 1999 couch-bound man who attempts to beat the game (and encounters the famous Level 256 glitch) before the year 2000 problem occurs.
