Molokini is a destination for scuba diving, snuba, and snorkeling. Its crescent shape protects divers inside it from waves and the channel's powerful currents, though diving also takes place off the 300-foot (91.5-meter) sheer outer wall. In the morning, when winds are calmer, smaller tour boats also take guests to snorkel off the outer wall. [4]
Polynesian Adventure Tours – Gray Line Hawaii has been recognized as Metro Magazine's 10 Innovative Motorcoach Operators in 2006 [6] and is consistently in the Top 50 Motorcoach Operators list. [7] The company was also the recipient of Gray Line Worldwide 's Market Development Award in 2008.
Molokai is part of the state of Hawaii and located in Maui County, Hawaii, except for the Kalaupapa Peninsula, which is separately administered as Kalawao County. Maui County encompasses Maui, Lanai, and Kahoolawe in addition to Molokai. The largest town on the island is Kaunakakai, which is one of two small ports on the island.
The property continues to be a working cattle ranch and is run by John Morgan from the island of Hawaii. [6] Kualoa is open for guided tours and tours on horseback. [7] In 2018, the ranch was raising shrimp and making it available, as local lunch cuisine, to visitors. [8]
Aerial view of Kaho‘olawe, Molokini, and the Makena side of Maui In 1976, a group called the Protect Kahoʻolawe ʻOhana (PKO) filed suit in U.S. Federal Court to stop the Navy's use of Kahoʻolawe for bombardment training, to require compliance with a number of new environmental laws and to ensure protection of cultural resources on the island.
Lanikai Beach or Kaʻōhao Beach is located in Kaʻōhao, a community in the town of Kailua and on the windward coast of Oahu, Hawaii. Although there is a widespread belief that the name Lanikai means "heavenly sea", [1] that is a misconception and a grammatical error, since in the Hawaiian language, the qualifier (lani) comes after the noun (kai).
