Mall of Georgia is an enclosed super-regional shopping mall located in unincorporated Gwinnett County, Georgia, near the city of Buford, 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Atlanta. Opened in 1999, it is currently the largest shopping mall in the state of Georgia , [ 2 ] consisting of 188 stores on three levels. [ 1 ]
In 2005 Atlanta newspaper Creative Loafing named it one of "five undiscovered redevelopment gems". [ 6 ] The center was the filming location, representing for the Reseda, California strip mall in home to the Cobra Kai dojo in the hit 2018 Netflix series Cobra Kai , the spin-off of the original 1984 film, The Karate Kid .
The mall features Macy's, Dillard's, Von Maur, and Nordstrom. Perimeter Mall is different from other shopping malls in Atlanta in that it is much busier than most and has more current retail stores. It also offers upscale restaurants and salons. It features valet parking. The mall sits at the center of the region called “Perimeter”.
Phipps Plaza is a shopping mall in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, Georgia. It is located at the intersection of Peachtree Road and Lenox Road (SR 141 Connector), adjacent to the Phipps Tower office building. The mall is currently owned and managed by Simon Property Group, and is considered a sister mall to the adjacent, Simon-owned Lenox Square.
