314. Location Warren, Michigan. My PB: Between 4-5 lbs. Favorite Bass: Smallmouth. Favorite Lake or River Lake St. Clair, MI. Posted March 4, 2015. This coming week there is a Field and Stream store opening near me in suburb of Detroit, MI., and is managed by Dick's Sporting goods.
Posted December 20, 2013. I have a used Field & Stream Talon 12 Kayak. It set atop my van right side up for 2 days. It rained during those 2 days almost non-stop. After opening the bow hatch storage area, I found about a 1/2- 3/4 gallons of water (maybe a little more). After doing a test for water leaks I discovered the center dry area cylinder ...
My mall is getting a new Field & Steam store as well as a new Dicks. How is Field & Stream's fishing selection comparatively? Am I looking at some new cool stuff or a bunch of $0.99 baits?
I grew up with Outdoor Life. Jack O'Connor was my idol back then (in the '50's & '60's). The magazine was top of the line, with Field & Stream was up & coming, along with Sports Afield. Think of these magazines as the doctor you go see as your "General Practitioner", vs. the specialist that he usually sends you to. (GP's rarely "treat" you ...
My local DSG carries Calico Jacks for about $55, my med 7' 8/17 rod has been serving me well for about 3-4 years. I use the rod for high banked canals both open water and Florida muck. Being an all purpose rod I use it for all techniques and lure types, this is my heavy bass rod used with 15# braided line.
I am not going to compare my field and stream rod to a Falcon Rod I have, but I would put it up against some of the Rods that are popular and sell for $50-$80 like say a Daiwa, Abu, Berkley rod which are all good so I am not knocking any product, I was just commenting last week that I am surprised that rod is in my rotation as I only purchased ...

So I used my winnings from yesterday's tournament to get a good flip/pitch rod and reel. It was a little local tournament so I only had about 115 to play with. I picked up a 7'6" Field and Stream Telescopic Tec Spec rod and married it with an Abu Garcia Black Max. The reel I know is not the best Abu out there, but budget...
I have a 7' MH/F Rig & Jig Tech Spec rod which is made by F&S for Dicks and the rod works great. I believe I paid $60 for the rod after a discount coupon and a in store rebate and it's a great rod even at full price. I use it for t-rigged soft plastics and mainly fish 7"-10" worms and fat ikas along with the damiki hydro.
This. They are expanding Field and Stream into more locations. Makes sense to take the Outdoors out of Dicks to drive more traffic to their F&S stores. I went to F&S for the first time in November as it is 3 hours from my house and I enjoyed their store and prices more than the bass pro that's 10 min from my house.
