The acorn types and big green egg's seem intimidating to me LOL. The ease of the pellet feeder is what has drawn me to the pellet grills, the acorn/egg one's just seem like a lot of work for such a small grill for the $$. The salesman at the store talked highly about them though and recommended them over all grills.

In the Q&A, the manufacturer says it is "22 gauge mesh" but I'm not sure if they mean it is 22 gauge wire or #22 mesh size.

If I had a boundless supply of cash I would probably buy a pellet grill. My old man is toying with the idea of buying one, but he only has a gas grill at the moment. I have two charcoal grills, a gas grill, an electric smoker, an a-maze-n pellet tray, and cold smoking apparatus for my Bradley. and now with the sous vide cooking, my smoking ...

Location. United States. Hey all, I am looking at a new pit boss pellet smoker. I want one in the 800 series. As of today 12/15/2021 I believe most of them have the new PID controller. What is the difference in the Navigator $899, Pro Series II $549, Sportsman $699, Mahogany $599, Laredo $450. I have read all I can and the price swing between ...

The big key with the pellet grills that I have found is make sure you are cleaning the dust etc. from inside the firepot. I bought a small shop vac that is used exclusively for this. If you are wanting more smoke on whatever you are making, I also use a smoke tube.
