Fish finger. Fish fingers (British English) or fish sticks (American English) are a processed food made using a whitefish, such as cod, hake, haddock, or pollock, which has been battered or breaded. They are commonly available in the frozen food section of supermarkets. They can be baked in an oven, grilled, shallow fried, or deep-fried.
Specialties include all-you-can-eat catfish fillets, freshwater fish fillets, or fiddlers (small, whole catfish), plus all-you-can eat shrimp. They can even serve up gluten-free catfish, too.
Basa (Pangasius bocourti) is a species of catfish in the family Pangasiidae. Basa are native to the Mekong and Chao Phraya basins in Mainland Southeast Asia. [2] These fish are important as a food source, and also on the international market. They are often labelled in North America and Australia as "basa fish", "swai", [3] or "bocourti". [4]
