Writing systems are used to record human language, and may be classified according to certain common features.. The usual name of the script is given first; the name of the languages in which the script is written follows (in brackets), particularly in the case where the language name differs from the script name.
The original tree is converted to a binary tree: each node with more than two children is replaced by a sub-tree in which each node has exactly two children. Each region representing a node (starting from the root) is divided to two, using a line that keeps the angles between edges as large as possible.
A tree structure, tree diagram, or tree model is a way of representing the hierarchical nature of a structure in a graphical form. It is named a "tree structure" because the classic representation resembles a tree , although the chart is generally upside down compared to a biological tree, with the "stem" at the top and the "leaves" at the bottom.
Dependency, in contrast, is a one-to-one relation; every word in the sentence corresponds to exactly one node in the tree diagram. Both parse trees employ the convention where the category acronyms (e.g. N, NP, V, VP) are used as the labels on the nodes in the tree.
A mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information into a hierarchy, showing relationships among pieces of the whole. [1] It is often based on a single concept, drawn as an image in the center of a blank page, to which associated representations of ideas such as images, words and parts of words are added.
Treebanks are necessarily constructed according to a particular grammar. The same grammar may be implemented by different file formats. For example, the syntactic analysis for John loves Mary, shown in the figure on the right/above, may be represented by simple labelled brackets in a text file, like this (following the Penn Treebank notation):
Concept mapping and mind mapping software is used to create diagrams of relationships between concepts, ideas, or other pieces of information. It has been suggested that the mind mapping technique can improve learning and study efficiency up to 15% over conventional note-taking. [1]
There are eight types of maps: Circle Map: used for defining in context; Bubble Map: used for describing with adjectives; Flow Map: used for sequencing and ordering events; Brace Map: used for identifying part/whole relationships; Tree Map: used for classifying or grouping; Double Bubble Map: used for comparing and contrasting
