McLean County Unit District No. 5 employs approximately 1,650 full and part time staff members to educate approximately 13,000 students. The district consists of more than 214 square miles, with 17 elementary, 4 junior high and 2 high school buildings, and 1 vocational training site.
Unit 5 Boundaries. Boundary Maps Unit 5 has designated boundaries for each of its schools. Please view the maps to see where your child would attend school. Some of the boundaries are hard to determine, so please verify this information with the schools before making significant decisions, including those involving real estate.

Meet the Superintendent. SUPERINTENDENT KRISTEN WEIKLE. Dr. Weikle has been an educator for 28 years and is the 13th superintendent of Unit 5 Schools. She previously served as the Superintendent at Warrensburg-Latham CUSD 11, and as the Director of Special Education for the Special Education Association of Adams County.
The Food and Nutrition Services Department is dedicated to providing the highest quality food and service in an effort to enhance the overall health and well-being of Unit 5 students. Our meal programs operate under the federally funded School Breakfast Program and National School Lunch Program.
