Elden Ring. Sekiro. Dark Souls 3 + DLC. Dark Souls 1 (remastered) + DLC. Bloodborne + DLC. Demon's Souls (remastered) Dark Souls 2 + DLC. I'm biased in that Elden Ring was my first FromSoft game so it blew my mind how good it was. But it started me on my journey to beat every "souls-like" game so that has to count for something.
ADMIN MOD. After years of denial, I finally realised that Souls-likes aren't the games for me. I've been trying the franchise for years. Dark souls 1, Dark souls 3, Sekiro and very recently Elden Ring. Each time I play these games, the same things happen. I take 3 times more tries for any of the bosses than other players, I get so underpowered ...
My favorite is 3. Two is factually pure trash. For me is 3,2,1. I prefer the 3 for pretty much everything, it took good lessons from both Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne and introduced a lot of new ideas and game changing mechanics. But Dark Souls 2 will still have a special place in my heart, I love this one.
That said, starting with Dark Souls 1, 2, 3 should be fine although some would argue Dark Souls 1 -> 3 -> 2 as the story from 2 is relatively disconnected from 1 and 3. Some would also argue to skip 2 but I really enjoyed it and thought it was a Souls game through and through and well worth playing. Then you can fit in Demon's Souls, Bloodborne ...
1 - 2 - 3. Not gonna get into which one is the best but 100% get the DLC for each game. A lot of the best content and bosses are found in the DLC and it adds a lot to the game. DS1R, then DS2SOTFS, then DS3. Play chronologically. The DLCs will come with the first 2, so you only have to buy the DLCs for ds3.
