Oradea Arena is a multipurpose sports arena located in Oradea, Romania. It is the home of CSM Oradea of the Liga Națională de Baschet Masculin (LNBM). [1] [2] This will be used in the 2026 European Women's Handball Championship for the preliminary round.

When it was founded in 1777, followers of the Greek Rite having been up to that time under the jurisdiction of the Latin bishop. Originally the see was a suffragan of Esztergom (Gran); when, however, in 1853 the Greek Catholic Diocese of Făgăraș and Alba Iulia became the Archdiocese of Făgăraș and Alba Iulia, the diocese of Oradea Mare was transferred to its jurisdiction. CSM Oradea was founded in 2003, but the team promoted to the first division in 2005. The team best performance was in 2012 when they reached Romanian Cup semi-finals and in 2013 when the team won the 3rd place.
During the last few years, CSM Oradea became one of the most powerful teams in Romanian basketball. The Red Lions have won the championship three times, and have played several other finals. In the 2016/17 season, they played in the Basketball Champions League group stages and the FIBA Europe Cup quarter-finals.
