Park is a small village in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It sits on the banks of the River Faughan and the foothills of the Sperrin Mountains near the village of Claudy . In 1623 the new county granted to the Londoners and its fortified city, built across the River Foyle from the recently destroyed settlement, were renamed Londonderry in honour of this association.
