Robert Hutchins Jeffrey (December 21, 1873 – October 22, 1961) [1] was the 35th mayor of Columbus, Ohio and the 32nd person to serve in that office. [2] He was elected April 4, 1903. [ 3 ] He served Columbus for one term and an additional eight months.
Andrew James Ginther (born April 27, 1975) [1] is an American Democratic politician, the 53rd mayor of Columbus, Ohio, and the 48th person to serve in that office. [2] He previously served as President of Columbus City Council from 2011 until 2015.
Columbus's first city hall was at the Central Market building, but it moved to a new building on Capitol Square in 1872. In 1921, a fire destroyed that building, [1] [2] now the site of the Ohio Theatre.
