Area code 907 is a telephone area code in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) for the U.S. state of Alaska, except for the small southeastern community of Hyder, which uses area codes 236, 250, and 778 of neighboring Stewart, British Columbia.
It is the only place in Alaska not to use the 907 area code, instead using British Columbia's 250. [6] Although Hyder is officially in the Alaska Time Zone, residents set their clocks to British Columbia's Pacific Time. [20] Both American and Canadian currency are accepted, [6] except by the U.S. Post Office, which only accepts U.S. dollars.
