The Funniest Joke of the Fringe is an award presented each year at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe by the British television channel U&Dave.The award highlights the best single joke (typically a one-liner) by a standup comedian and is voted on by members of the public from a shortlist selected by a panel of comedy critics.

In August 2010, Vine won the prize for the funniest joke of that year's Edinburgh Fringe, following a public vote from a judged shortlist. His winning joke was "I've just been on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. I'll tell you what, never again." [27] On 25 August 2011, Vine won the prize for the second funniest joke at the Edinburgh Fringe festival.
In 2012 he won the annual award for the funniest joke of the Edinburgh Fringe. [7] He announced his final standup tour will take place during 2018 and 2019. His final stand up appearance was on 7 December 2019. [8]
