The Dell XPS 14 (9440) was released in early 2024 and is a 14.5" laptop between the Dell XPS 13 and the XPS 16. It has thinner bezels, a seamless touchpad, and edge-to-edge keyboard with a touch function row, it offers two 14.5" display options, 1920x1200 LCD, or 3200x2000 OLED display, both at a refresh rate of 120Hz.
It runs on ChromeOS and features a 12.3-inch display. It includes two USB-C ports, but it omits the headphone jack. The featured Pixel Keyboard and Pixelbook Pen are sold separately. Since 2012, a number of other prominent laptop manufacturers, such as Dell, Asus, and Sony have also begun releasing their own 2-in-1s. [2]
While both models supports a 15.4" Samsung LCD, only the later models of the 9100 (with a 3.2 GHz CPU) use an identical LCD screen as the Gen 1 XPS with resolutions up to 1920×1200 (Dell Part #s 7T774/W3866) whereas previous Inspiron 9100s (with a 2.8-3.0 GHz CPU) used a different LCD screen with resolutions of up to 1280×800 (Dell Part # Y0316).
