Albertsons Stadium is widely known for its unusual blue playing surface, installed in 1986, while Boise State was in the Big Sky Conference. It was the first non-green playing surface (outside of painted end zones) in football history and remained the only one among NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision schools for almost 20 years.
The vision, coined the “Playbook for Success,” also includes upgrades to ExtraMile Arena, and the construction of a soccer stadium and a 5,000-seat arena on campus, among other projects.
“We are unwavering in our vision to create elite facilities and experiences for our student-athletes and Bronco Nation,” Boise State Athletic Director Jeramiah Dickey said.

Not included are several large stadiums used by teams in the now-defunct NFL Europa , as these were all built for and used mainly for association football , or Rogers Centre , located in Canada (although it does host occasional American football games).
