Roronoa Zoro (ロロノア・ゾロ, Roronoa Zoro, spelled as "Roronoa Zolo" in some English adaptations), also known as "Pirate Hunter" Zoro (海賊狩りのゾロ, Kaizoku-Gari no Zoro), is a fictional character created by Japanese manga artist Eiichiro Oda who appears in the manga series and media franchise One Piece.
On their way to "The Palace of the Sea God" Robin's group meets an entranced Zoro. It looks like Zoro wants to fight so Luffy urges the others to keep going without him. They apprehend the kid but the whistle was what was really stealing their memories. Zoro returns, still entranced, but Luffy's nowhere to be seen.

However, Luffy tells him he does not care, and will save Ace even if he dies. As Jimbei arrives, defeating Moria's zombies with a blast of salt water, and Luffy defeats a giant officer with Gear Third, Sengoku reveals to the Marines that Luffy is the adoptive brother of Ace and the son of Monkey D. Dragon.
