Churubusco (/ ˌ tʃ ɛr ə ˈ b ʌ s k oʊ / or / ˌ tʃ ɛr i ˈ b ʌ s k oʊ /); often shortened to Busco (/ ˈ b ʌ s k oʊ /), is a town located near the headwaters of the Eel River in the extreme northeast corner of Whitley County, Indiana, United States, in Smith Township, about 16 miles (26 km) northwest of Fort Wayne. Oscar's memory lives on in Churubusco's Turtle Days festival held each June. [10] It includes a parade, carnival and turtle races. [11] A turtle shell labeled "Beast of Busco" hangs in the Two Brothers Restaurant in Decatur, Indiana. A small concrete statue of a turtle sits on the sidewalk at the main intersection in the center of Churubusco.
American Tractor Corporation (ATC) was an American manufacturer of tracked type agricultural and industrial tractors based in Churubusco, Indiana. Their tractors were marketed using the "Terra" prefix before a descriptive term. The bulldozers were referred to as Terra Dozers, the general purpose tractors Terra Tracs and the backhoes Terra Hoes.

The fair was first held in 1930 and usually runs for ten days in late June, except that in 2020, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the fair was moved to July 11–19. The fair maintains a rural theme despite being located in the most populous county in Indiana, with 4-H exhibits, live music, traditional dance shows, and historical displays.
