The National Eligibility Test (NET) is a standardised test conducted at the national level by various agencies of the Government of India. It assesses candidates' eligibility for research fellowships, specifically the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and, in some cases, the Senior Research Fellowship (SRF).

On 4 June 2024, the NEET-UG result was declared on the same day as the result of the 2024 Indian general election, 10 days before the expected result date, declared by the NTA. Publicly published results of various all-India top scorers who scored 718 and 719 marks went viral on the Internet.
Results. Answer sheets are machine-graded and results are listed and printed and then announced.
