Mapping L.A. is a project of the Los Angeles Times, beginning in 2009, to draw boundary lines for 158 cities and unincorporated places within Los Angeles County, California. It identified 114 neighborhoods within the City of Los Angeles and 42 unincorporated areas where the statistics were merged with those of adjacent cities. [1]

Los Angeles County, officially the County of Los Angeles and sometimes abbreviated as LA County, is the most populous county in the United States, with 9,663,345 residents estimated in 2023. Its population is greater than that of 40 individual U.S. states .
It contains a series of adjacent parks consisting of the Santa Anita Park racetrack, the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, and Arcadia County Park. The city had a population of 56,364 at the 2010 census , up from 53,248 at the 2000 census .
The district comprises all or parts of Arlington Heights, Koreatown, Mid-City, Palms, South Robertson, West Adams, and Wilshire Center. [2] The district is completely within California's 37th congressional district and California's 28th State Senate district, and overlaps California's 57th, 61st, and 55th State Assembly districts.
