The Oración Seis' leader, Brain, forces Wendy to use her Sky Dragon Slayer magic to revive Brain's former student and Natsu's old nemesis, Jellal Fernandez, who has the ability to find and unseal Nirvana. Wendy recognizes Jellal as someone she is indebted to and, despite learning of his villainous actions, reluctantly complies.
The arc focuses on Fairy Tail's alliance with other guilds to take down the dark guild Oración Seis, aided by the Dragon Slayer Wendy Marvell and a reformed Jellal Fernandez. The last four episodes form the self-contained "Daphne" ( ダフネ , Dafune ) arc, where Gray Fullbuster seemingly betrays the guild and helps Daphne, a deranged wizard ...
With Oración Seis's plan complete, "Michelle" reveals her true identity as a member of Oración Seis, Imitatia, who posed as Lucy's relative to manipulate Fairy Tail into helping them. She also reveals her authority as archbishop given to her by the real one, forcing Byro to follow her orders, and kidnaps Lucy.
Other members of the guild include Laxus Dreyar and the Raijin Tribe, who temporarily join Blue Pegasus during Fairy Tail's dissolution; and Karen Lilica (カレン・リリカ, Karen Ririka), a celestial wizard and Loke's first owner, who is killed by the Oración Seis' member Sorano three years before he meets Lucy Heartfilia.

The flames imbue Natsu with enough power to defeat Mercphobia, but also nearly send Natsu on a rampage until Lucy calms him down. Mercphobia regains his senses and finds himself rendered powerless, which fulfills part of Fairy Tail's mission. Out of gratitude, Mercphobia directs Fairy Tail to the city of Drasil to find Aldoron, the Wood Dragon God.
