Motorcycle Gang originally aired on the cable television network Showtime on August 5, 1994, as part of the anthology series Rebel Highway. As with other films in the series, its name is taken from a 1950s B-movie but its plot bears no resemblance to that film. The Rebel Rousers is a 1970 American independent outlaw biker film starring Cameron Mitchell, Jack Nicholson, Diane Ladd, Bruce Dern, and Harry Dean Stanton. Filmed in 1967, it did not receive a release until 1970 following the success of Easy Rider. It is one of several motorcycle gang films of the period to feature Nicholson, Dern and Stanton.

His gang consists of Duke, also a Vietnam veteran, Limpy, Speed, and another Vietnam veteran, Dirty Denny. They are under the orders of Army Captain Jackson. The gang modifies their motorcycles in a garage run by Diem-Nuc.
