Calhoun High School is a public high school in Calhoun, Georgia, United States, serving grades 9–12 for the Calhoun City School District. It is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools , and is a member of Georgia High School Association .
Calhoun City is served by the Calhoun County School District. Calhoun City High School's athletic teams are known as the Wildcats. In 1968, Calhoun Academy was formed as a segregation academy by white parents seeking to avoid sending their children to racially integrated public schools. [8] Its sports teams are known as the Cougars.
Bruce and Calhoun City High are both District 2A schools, and Vardaman High is a District 1A school. Kemon Hall was born on June 2, 1997, in Calhoun City, Mississippi. He attended Calhoun City High School there before going to college at Itawamba CC. As a sophomore, Hall recorded 45 tackles in nine games. [1] After the year he transferred to North Texas. In his first game in the NCAA, he started at cornerback and made four solo tackles. [2]
