KPC Media Group Inc. is an American privately owned printer and publisher of daily and weekly newspapers, based in Kendallville, Indiana. It was founded in 1911 as Kendallville Publishing Company Inc. by the owners of two competing newspapers in Kendallville, when they merged into The News Sun.
Though it numbers its issues from August 1911 and celebrated 2011 as its 100th anniversary, The News Sun—known as the Kendallville News-Sun before July 1984 [1] —can trace its history back to the mid-19th century, through the Daily News and Daily Sun newspapers that merged in 1911 and the succession of weekly newspapers that preceded them.
This newspaper merged with the Auburn Dispatch (formed 1874) to become The Evening Star in 1913.
