The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) in charge of international health cooperation in the Americas.It fosters technical cooperation among member countries to fight communicable and noncommunicable diseases, strengthen health systems, and respond to emergencies and disasters.
UFHI (Uniting for Health Innovation), formerly the PAHO Foundation, is a non-government organization whose purpose is to respond to existing and emerging health threats in the Americas. [ 1 ] UFHI was established by the Pan American Health Organization on September 5, 1968 under the name Pan American Health and Education Foundation (PAHEF).
