Indian labour law refers to law regulating labour in India. Traditionally, the Indian government at the federal and state levels has sought to ensure a high degree of protection for workers, but in practice, this differs due to the form of government and because labour is a subject in the concurrent list of the Indian Constitution .
The Government of Maharashtra is the executive governing authority of the Indian state of Maharashtra. The government is led by the chief minister (currently Eknath Shinde since 30 June 2022) who selects all the other ministers.

[8] The Union Ministry of Labour issued draft rules under section 67 of the Act on 7 July 2020 in the Gazette. The draft rules remained open for public feedback for 45 days and are expected to come into force soon. [9]
