Akhil Akkineni was born on April 8, 1994, in San Jose, California, United States, [1] [3] to actors Nagarjuna and Amala. He is of Telugu descent from his father's side, and has Bengali and Irish ancestry from his mother's side. [4] He is the grandson of actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, and half-brother of Naga Chaitanya.
