Kion and the Lion Guard then journey to find the Tree of Life to heal him. Once reaching the Tree of Life, Kion meets the protectors of the tree, the Night Pride, who guides him during his recovery process. He and the Night Pride's leader Rani fall in love during his journey and they become the rulers of the tree of life in the series finale.
