I have used the free version of mp3Gain for many years on Win 7 and Win XP. There was never a problem. Now that I have converted to Win 10, the mp3Gain program is nowhere to be found on my laptop.

Look for MSCOMNCTL.OCX in the following: C:\Windows\SysWOW64 directory. Right click on Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator. Type the following. CD C:\Windows\SysWOW64 directory. Press Enter. Next Type. Regsvr32 MSCOMCTL.OCX. Press Enter. You should get a message "DllRegisterServer in mscomctl.ocx succeeded".

Replied on April 20, 2017. Report abuse. The solution is to uninstall and then run the installer in compatibility troubleshooting. Right click on the install exe, choose compatibility and then "run compatibility troubleshooter".
