The Memphis 13 are the group of young children who integrated the schools of Memphis, Tennessee. On October 3, 1961, 13 African-American first grade students were enrolled in schools that were previously all white. Grave marker at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Memphis (2007) According to her obituary, Bullion died of heart disease at the Shelby County Hospital at 6:45 pm on December 2, 1961. The memorial service was held at 11:30 am on December 4. She is buried in the Memorial Park Cemetery. [6] Bullion was the last surviving member of the Wild Bunch gang.
