The Ohio State University Ice Rink is a 1,415-seat hockey rink located at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The rink was built in 1961 and houses the Ohio State Buckeyes women's ice hockey team. The men's hockey team occupied the facility from 1963 until 1998, when the Value City Arena was completed. [2]
During the series of unsuccessful ice hockey teams, the rink found new life as the center for New York figure skating & amateur speed skating. The Capitoline Grounds, also known as Capitoline Skating Lake and Base Ball Ground, [2] was a baseball park located in Brooklyn, New York, from 1864 to 1880. It was built to rival nearby Union Grounds, also in Brooklyn. The park hosted local amateur teams in its early history, but later hosted professional and semi-professional games.
