On the main breakwater is a light mounted on a tower above the centre of the El Faro restaurant. Painted white with red bands, the lantern on the 6 m tower emits a flashing red light. [2] [4] On the opposite side of the entrance, next to the hotel is a beacon 2 m high, that shows a flashing green light. [4]
The Hard Rock closed on February 3, 2020, to allow for a $200 million renovation. Virgin Hotels Las Vegas opened on March 25, 2021. The opening had been delayed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Nevada. The hotel, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, includes 1,504 rooms.
