Guymon (/ ˈ ɡ aɪ m ə n / GHY-mən) is a city and county seat of Texas County, in the panhandle of Oklahoma, United States. [1] As of the 2020 census, the city population was 12,965, [3] an increase of 13.3% from 11,442 in 2010, and represents more than half of the population of the county, along with being the largest city in the Oklahoma Panhandle.
He proceeded to build a new chain, with a company named Texas Cinema Corporation. Mitchell then formed a group of theaters under the Cinemark name beginning in 1977. Cinemark Corporation and Texas Cinema Corporation merged operations in June 1979 creating a portfolio of 25 theaters in Texas and New Mexico under the Cinemark brand.

Wometco was founded in 1925 as the Wolfson-Meyer Theater Company, a movie theatre chain based in Miami. The company's co-founders were brothers-in-law Mitchell Wolfson (1900–1983) and Sidney Meyer. [1] The first movie theater opened by the firm was the Capitol Theater in downtown Miami, built in 1926.
