Arkansas Highway 282 Spur is a spur route of 0.97 miles (1.56 km), following Dollard Road in Crawford County near Mountainburg. The route connects AR 282 over Interstate 49 to the local Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department shop.

The state highway system was first created on October 10, 1923, by the Commission. [12] The group traced all roads designated as "county roads" onto an official map, which became the official State Highway System of Arkansas on December 31, 1924. [13] This map was kept in Little Rock as the official log of routes.

I-49 in Northwest Arkansas. The first portion of what would become I-49 was completed in the late 1990s and was opened to Mountainburg as AR 540. [3] On January 8, 1999, the road was fully opened to traffic and was re-designated part of an extension of I-540, with the name "John Paul Hammerschmidt Highway", in honor of a former US Representative from Arkansas. The Frog Bayou Bridge is a historic bridge in Crawford County, Arkansas, just south of Mountainburg. It is a single-span steel Parker through truss, which formerly carried Arkansas Highway 282 across Frog Bayou, a tributary of the Arkansas River. The bridge is now closed to traffic, and is located at the southern end of Silver Bridge Road.
