Union County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located at Liberty, Union County, Indiana. It was designed by noted Indianapolis architect George W. Bunting and built in 1890–1891. It is a two-story, rectangular, Richardsonian Romanesque style rock faced ashlar stone building on a raised basement.
Unlike some states, Indiana town council members must declare a political party affiliation when they file to run for office. Indiana towns also elect clerk/treasurers, who manage town finances. As elected officials, clerk/treasurers operate independently of the town council, but within the council-approved budget.

It housed the office of the county clerk until 1859, when the building was sold and moved to its present location and the clerk's offices were moved to the third Fountain County Courthouse.
