Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based in Askham Bryan, York, England. [1] [2] It also has centres in Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Saltaire and Wakefield. It was built in 1936, but not opened until after World War II as the Yorkshire Agricultural Institute. It first opened to students in 1948. [3]

Askham Richard is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of City of York in the north of England, 6.5 miles (10.5 km) south-west of York, close to Copmanthorpe, Bilbrough and Askham Bryan. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 351. [1] The village became a Conservation Area in 1975.
King's Manor School was formed in 1974 by a split of Acklam High School into an 11-16 School, with the balance forming Acklam 6th Form College. Acklam High School had a history as a boys school from 1935, when it was founded as Acklam Hall School at Acklam Hall.
