Walt Disney Animation Studios is an American animation studio headquartered in Burbank, California, [1] the original feature film division of The Walt Disney Company.The studio's films are also often called "Disney Classics" (or "Classic Animated Features" in the case of the films with traditional hand drawn animation), [2] or "Disney Animated Canon".
All U.S.-based productions made prior to 1930, including much of the Colonel Heeza Liar, Felix the Cat, Mutt and Jeff, Krazy Kat and Winsor McCay libraries, along with the earliest Walt Disney productions including Laugh-O-Gram Studio, Alice Comedies and Steamboat Willie.
The coming years would see additional hand-drawn animated shorts: 1984's Sang Kancil dan Monyet (The Mousedeer and the Monkey) and a 1987 follow-up, Sang Kancil dan Buaya (The Mousedeer and the Crocodile); 1985's Gagak Yang Bijak (The Clever Crow); and Arnab Yang Sombong (The Proud Rabbit) and Singa Yang Haloba (The Greedy Lion) both released in 1986, all written and directed by Hassan Abd.

The Asian version of Playhouse Disney started in 2000 as a block on Disney Channel, with plans for the standalone channel on the cards since October 2002.
