St. Martin's Episcopal School was founded in 1947 as a co-educational, independent school. It was the first Episcopal school in the region and operated originally as a parish elementary school on the grounds of its namesake church. It moved to the current campus on Green Acres Road in 1950 to accommodate the growing number of students.

Saint Martin's University is a private Benedictine university in Lacey, Washington. It was founded in 1895 as a boys' boarding school run by monks of the Benedictine Order. Saint Martin's began offering college-level courses in 1900 and became a degree-granting institution in 1940. The college became coeducational in 1965.
St. Edmund's was founded as an all-boys diocesan school in 1947 by a group of parents associated with the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Squirrel Hill. [3] The school came to occupy its current location in 1954 when Pauline Mudge, widow of prominent Pittsburgh industrialist Edmund W. Mudge, [4] donated a plot of land adjacent to the parish house of the Church of the Redeemer.
