The Georgia College Bobcats are the athletic teams that represent Georgia College & State University, located in Milledgeville, Georgia, in intercollegiate sports at the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the Peach Belt Conference since the 1990–91 academic year.
Atkinson Hall is a historic building at Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia. [2] Atkinson Hall was constructed in 1896. It was saved from demolition in 1978 by alumni, community support, faculty, and students.
The University System of Georgia was created with the passage of the Reorganization Act of 1931 by the Georgia General Assembly in 1931. The Reorganization Act created a Board of Regents to oversee the state's colleges and universities and the 26 boards of trustees that had provided oversight over the various institutions before passage of the act.
