Sackville (Doorumbolooa) [2] is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located in the City of Hawkesbury and at the 2021 census had a population of 230, 22 of whom identified as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (9.6%). [ 1 ]
Sackville North's name was in common usage for many years but was not officially adopted by the Geographical Names Board of New South Wales until 1996. Sackville School Post Office opened on 1 March 1911, was renamed Sackville North in December of the same year and closed in 1957. It reopened in 1963 and closed again in 1975.
The Kaiser-Frazer Corporation was established in August 1945 as a joint venture between the Henry J. Kaiser Company and Graham-Paige Motors Corporation. Both Henry J. Kaiser, a California-based industrialist, and Joseph W. Frazer, CEO of Graham-Paige, wanted to get into the automobile business and pooled their resources and talents to do so. [1]
