The Columbia Valley is a small valley and unincorporated settlement stretching southwest of Cultus Lake and extending across the Canada–United States border [1] into Whatcom County, Washington. [2] It is located to the south of the City of Chilliwack and east of Abbotsford, lying between Vedder Mountain and the main bulk of the Cascade Mountains.
Columbia Valley Highway is located south of the city of Chilliwack and provides the only public road access to the tourist area at Cultus Lake [2] and rural Columbia Valley to the south. [3] The connection to Vedder Crossing was only built in 1916, with access prior to the Columbia Valley via roads from Washington State.
