The Diocese of Saint-Denis in Île-de-France (Latin: Dioecesis Sancti Dionysii in Francia; French: Diocèse de Saint-Denis-en-France) is a Latin diocese of the Catholic Church in France. Erected in 1966 by Pope Paul VI, the diocese was split off from the Archdiocese of Paris and the Diocese of Versailles.
The abbey church became a cathedral on the formation of the Diocese of Saint-Denis by Pope Paul VI in 1966 and is the seat of the Bishop of Saint-Denis, currently (since 2009) Pascal Delannoy. Although known as the "Basilica of St Denis", the cathedral has not been granted the title of Minor Basilica by the Vatican .
St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church is a historic church building in northeastern Darke County, Ohio, United States.Located south of the village of Versailles, [1] it is believed to be the region's last remaining log church built during the period of settlement.
In 1839, a parish was created for these settlers and dedicated to St. Valbert; its first building was located 3 miles (4.8 km) northeast of Versailles. [3] When the priests and nuns of the Society of the Precious Blood began to settle in western Ohio in the 1840s, St. Valbert's became a mother church for the Society.
Shortly after this building was completed in 1893, the parish was attached for administrative purposes to St. Denis parish in Versailles, [3] approximately 7 miles (11 km) to the southeast. [4] In 1906, the attachment was changed to St. Nicholas parish in Osgood, [3] only 3 miles (4.8 km) away to the northeast. [4]
