Pro Kabaddi League, also known as PKL, is an Indian professional Kabaddi league for men. [1] It premiered in 2014 and airs on Star Sports . [ 2 ] It is the most popular kabaddi league in the world and the second most watched sports league in India after the Indian Premier League . [ 3 ]
The fixtures of the tournament were announced on 19 October 2023. [2] The league returned to its original traveling caravan format returning after the 2019 season. [3] Each team plays against all the other teams twice, and the top 6 teams proceed to the play-offs with the season beginning on 2 December 2023. [4]
The league matches of this season started on October 18. Puneri Paltan were the defending champions, who won their maiden PKL title, beating Haryana Steelers in the previous edition. [1] Haryana Steelers became the champions for the maiden time after finishing as runners-up in the last season.
The 2022 Vivo Pro Kabaddi League was the ninth season of Pro Kabaddi League.The season began on 7 October 2022 and ended on 17 December 2022. [1] Jaipur Pink Panthers defeated Puneri Paltan in the final match to win their second title.
