Lime Pictures, formerly known as Mersey Television, is a British television production company, founded by producer and writer Phil Redmond in the early 1980s. It produces drama and entertainment shows for the international market, including Hollyoaks, The Only Way is Essex, Geordie Shore and Free Rein.
Producing and filming episodes of Brookside in Vancouver was a large scale operation for the show. The show's creator and executive producer Phil Redmond accompanied the cast and crew during filming. Filming usually took place in Liverpool during the hours of 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM but in Canada, they extended the working hours. [14]

Leon Lopez (born 30 August 1979 in Liverpool) is a British actor, television and film director, singer-songwriter and occasional model, best known for playing the role of Jerome Johnson in the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside from 1998 to 2002. He also played the role of Linford Short in the BBC's EastEnders in 2016.
